Interactive Producer

Summary

The primary responsibilities for this position are managing and delivering interactive projects. Candidates will work with a Digital Account Manager to consult with clients and lead design, development, and flash teams on interactive communications projects. The Producer will also have the opportunity to participate in business development activities with both new and existing clients.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as day-to-day point of contact for clients, and responsible for quality, deadlines, and budget on active projects
  • Participates in and drives client and internal project kick off meetings, and manage other team members to prepare for successful client kickoffs
  • Drafts schedules for new projects, and updates schedules on active projects on a regular basis.  Communicates future milestones and any schedule changes to client and internal team.
  • Demonstrates ability to anticipate and prevent issues through clear, honest, and professional communication with clients and internal team
  • Analyzes web sites from a functional, requirements, and usability perspective.  Able to present analyses, recommendations and deliverables to clients based on client objectives and discussion.
  • Demonstrates professionalism in communication, punctuality, follow-through, and commitment to the client’s business and internal team
  • Oversees the implementation of creative and technical solutions, from initial discovery through final QA testing and launch.  Responsible for QA of site (either through personal review or managing a QA resource).
  • Collaborates with Account Services team and other team members to draft new work orders and estimates for new projects or enhancements to existing projects
  • Manages client and internal expectations on project health (schedule, budget, and quality).
  • Collaborates with Account Services team to manage profitability on active projects, and provides suggestions on how to manage scope while maintaining profitability and scope
  • Identifies new opportunities for existing clients, and works with Account Services team to draft work orders for new projects.  Can provide accurate breakdown of hours and required scope for new projects.
  • Consults on contracts and work orders for any new work and partners with Account Services team to ensure schedule and delivery expectations are reasonable

 

Experience/Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree (degree in business, communication, or marketing is a plus)
  • Approximately 2-5 years of related industry experience as an Interactive Producer or Digital Account Manager
  • Understanding of web development technologies (CMS, Database, mobile technologies, etc.) but not necessarily the ability to program
  • Experience working with graphic designers and web developers in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Demonstrated ability to lead project teams though concept development to completion of project deliverables
  • Self-motivated, calm under pressure, and able to motivate other team members to meet deadlines and uphold quality on the project
  • Able to gracefully create sense of urgency with client and internal talent, without threatening or intimidating others
  • Excellent client management skills for setting and managing client expectations
  • Experience developing and managing schedules and budgets
  • Strong interpersonal/communication skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Project and full Microsoft Office suite (understanding of Adobe Creative suite also a plus)
