NESTEA: Start of Something Different

NESTEA® wanted to take their "The Start of Something Different" marketing initiative into the event marketing and product sample space, so Genuine created an app that uses augmented reality to deliver the digital experience. Genuine developed two Flash video games, initiated by a barcode and augmented reality marker, that use regular webcams to analyze motion tracking so NESTEA® players can operate the game with just their bodies. The games involved playing against a bear to hunt for fish, competing against grandma in catching lemons, and trying on virtual garb via a face-detection algorithm to create a "New You" all without a console or controller.

The Flash application uses an augmented reality marker and your friendly neighborhood webcam to overlay an ugly sweater on your live webcam video feed through composited animation, motion graphics, and video editing software.

Augmented Reality Business Card

The traditional business card says a lot about who you are, your background, and your expertise. We wanted our business cards to say more about us than a title and email address, so we created our very own augmented reality business cards. We dub them “Butterfly Effect” because they tell more about how we got to the meeting we just had than who was in that meeting. The augmented reality business card is more interesting than your typical corporate bio. Take a look! Aside from “that guy looks pretty chubby, he should eat more salad,” let us know what you think.
